The 64 hexagrams of
the I CHING
and the
Tropical Zodiac
(according to the
Human Design System)
The Human
Desgin System enriches astrology with a very special contribution
- assigning the 64 hexagrams of the I CHING to exactly defined sections
of the Tropical zodiac.
The I CHING,
the ancient Chinese Book of Change, is a magnificent source of widsom.
Many thousand
years old, this oracle is reflecting the cosmos in its multitude
of mundane and sacred manifestations.
Each one
of he 64 different oracles of the I CHING consists of six lines,
each line either being
Yin (broken
- female, receptive), or Yang (consistent - male, creative).
Every line
has the potential of becoming a moving line, transubstantiating
to the polar opposite, tranforming itself to the other gender, Yin
becoming Yang, and vice versa. This beautiful concept of constant
change is a great metaphor for life, as change indeed is the only
thing consistent in this universe. There's no doubt that the I CHING
shows profound understanding of the mechanics of this reality.
It's only
a few decades ago when genetic researchers discovered that all thorugh
nature, DNA is organized in groups of three pairs of nucleotides
each. In total there are 64 such combinations, called 'codons' -
code units. Each codon initiates the assimilation of one particular amino-acid,
providing the information for constituing one of the 20 basic building
blocks of life.
These scientific
findings instigated a great renaissance for the I CHING. It became
evident on how universally attuned the Book of Changes really is,
by far exceeding its Chinese heritage. The I CHING's original texts
(which first had been translated by Richard Wilhelm) became inspirations
to more profound and universal interpretations.
There are
many new authors and researchers who since have published a most
refreshing array of new commentairies. Many of these newer
editions have succeeded in transcending the oftentimes biased
and prejudiced views which had sneaked in over the millennia, contaminating
the I CHING's original purity.
In January
1987, Ra Uruhu, a Canadian who at the time was living on the island
of Mallorca received the 'Human Design System'. Upon first encountering
the source of this wisdom his hair would stand on end, so dense
was the energy. Up in the tree-house it was his dog lieing at his
feet giving him some grounding. For eight consequent days and nights
he would write down all the stunning information 'the Voice' was
delivering.
The most
outstanding novelty the Human Design System is introducing is the
conjoining of different streams of ancient wisdom - astrology, the
I CHING, the Eastern concept of chakra system and the Kabbalistic
Tree of Life.
that it
unites a whole variety of different sources of wisdom that originated
