Khoji J. Vihara
I
was born in Biel, Switzerland - on March 12, 1955 - with Sagittarius
rising. My childhood was rich in adventures and I was blessed being
guided by many extraordinary individuals.
After
graduating from high school it was music which inspired me the most,
so I decided to become a musician. Music elated my spirit, refined my
sensual perception and gifted me with the invaluable realization of
divine beauty. It opened my being to miraculous dimensions defying and
transcending logic. Music is universal language; it unifies contradictions
and balances extremes. Music exclusively exists in the here-and-now,
it is most elusive and yet immensely powerful on how it vibrates our
whole being, touching the very bottom of our soul. For many years music
was my main focus, performing and teaching was my life.
As
the mystery of existence touched me ever more deeply, the search for
answers to life's most intriguing questions became virtually compelling,
developing a dynamic of its own. So no wonder, around the age of 18,
astrology, the Tarot, psychology and reincarnation became my guides
and companions. Complex insights and revelations turned reality into
a multi-faceted experience. Beacons within life's torrents, flashes
of insight emerged. Within the apparent paradox of complexity deep sense
of oneness arose, allowing for serenity and patience even within struggle
and hardship.
In
1980 I was blessed to come across Osho, then still known as Bhagwan
Shree Rajneesh. Deeply touched by his uncompromising clarity, and spurred
by his glowing charisma my life took yet another unexpected turn. Leaving
Europe behind for good, I found myself entertained by the exotic fragrances
of India . Looking from far away, everything my life had consisted of
became relative and my horizon expanded ever further. Living close to
Osho and his spiritual community I had the chance to assign to numerous
human growth programs devised to expose societal conditionings and therefore
provoking the awareness to recognize patterns and transcend them. Aside
from making many friends form all the cultures and continents, I got
the chance to experiment with all kinds of different meditation techniques
of which "Dynamic Meditation" intrigued me the most.
Then,
a few years later, after I had re-established my life in Switzerland,
Central and South America sent out their call. Barely speaking any Spanish
I packed my belongings and followed the path of the Mayas. And it sure
turned out being a magical journey. Wherever I happened to arrive there
was the feeling of being deeply welcomed by most wonderful people. Particular
highlights were ascents of the volcanoes Popocatepetl and Chimborazo,
the unforgettable months with a most lovely family in Colombia's Villa
de Leyva while recuperating from hepatitis, and the extensive hikes
in Colombia's rainforest and Peru's Cordillera Blanca.
Another
longstanding dream came true in 1997, when it finally worked out to
move on to the new world, when Canada agreed to grant us immigration.
Starting over from scratch turned into a most exciting experience. Attracted
by nature's beauty and most artful people, it was the Kootenays of British
Columbia where we would settle, pioneering a virgin island of wilderness
between two river arms, in a pristine mountain valley.
After
some initial struggle of how to make a living, once again serendipity
knocked on our door. My brother who is living in India came up with
the fabulous idea to send us East Indian crystals, minerals and silver
jewelry from his own production - products I'm now wholesaling in Western
Canada..
In
these last ten years I have tapped into many new mysteries which ultimately
are calling to be integrated and shared. For the time being, this site
is an attempt to release what has come my way, passing on some of the
many gems the universe has showered on me. This also means accepting
the challenge to expose my vision, regardless of where this all will
lead.
