COSMIC TRENDS
for

2007

On Thursday December 21, 2006 , 4:22 p.m. PST ( December 22, 2006 , 0:22 UT) the Sun entered the sign Capricorn.

When the Sun reaches the lowest point on its journey through the underworld;

when the days are shortest, a new cycle starts, the new year is born.

Christianity adopted the Pagan "Festival of Lights", celebrating the rebirth of the son.

In this sacred moment the new creation-cycle is ignited.

Birth is a very intimate and private event.

It's taking about 10 days for the big party to be celebrated -

January 1, when the New Year is officially proclaimed and welcomed.

Birth Chart of the year 2007

Solar chart of December 22, 2006 , 0:22 p.m. UT

A "Solar chart" shrinks Earth to a singular point, revealing the overall pattern of celestial energies.

If you imagine floating in space,

then the cosmos opens in all directions and the Sun becomes the main focal point.

Powerful and omnipresent, the Sun will naturally be perceived as the beginning of the circle.

The chart for this moment literally sparks with the intensity of Sagittarian fire, stifling and arousing the collective unconscious. Jupiter, Mars, Mercury and Pluto – forming ane extended stellium with the solstice Sun – beaming from the mysterious twelfth Solar house, and for that resonating the zodiacal Pisces placements to life: applying Lunar North Node and Uranus, closely together till summer solstice 2007, both located in the third Solar house of communication and sharing. And the descending Lunar South Node in the 9th Solar house expands the meaning of the four Sagittarian planets, inducing circular motion.

The Lunar Nodes generate a most powerful dynamic force field, very different from the fields planets emanate. The nodes of the Moon are the two points where the Moon is exactly within the Sun/Earth plane, also marking the locations where every six months eclipses occur. Without any question, Sun and Moon are the two most prominent celestial bodies. The Moon's nodes show us where Solar and Lunar forces intersect and meet. The Lunar nodes act as a pair, laying an dynamic axis across the cosmos, a powerful river carrying, and sometimes pushing us ahead into the unknown territory of the rising North node.

I particularly like Dane Rudhyar's vision of the nodes - the rising or North node being the energetic intake, the mouth, where we eat, bringing food into our bodies; and the descending or South node the location where we release waste, and most importantly seeds. The energetic intake is where we are meant bring our focus to. Release is a natural consequence, it happens almost by itself. However, the dual nature of waste products and seeds is to be meditated upon - it means on one hand letting go of our attachments, disassociate with what we leave behind and not to become anal; but also to appreciate and embrace the potency of our seeds, acknowledging that it is the descending Lunar node which reveals our highest gifts to all the future generations.

This current is taking us ever deeper into mysterious and infinite Pisces. The Sagittarian planets in the 12th house show that we are guided by inner knowing, intuition and dreams; filtering in from higher realms. And the VIrgo South node reveals that while giving in to the mysterious healing happens haturally, opening our eyes to the fact that everything already is perfect and divine, that all there is to do is to play, to express and share (North node and Uranus in house 3).

Only 5 minutes before the Sun touched the solstice point, Mars formed an upper square to Uranus, revealing the concise sharpness of this coming year's root energy. Were it not for Venus being the planet holding the energy together, this explosive mix could easily turn into a wild fire – blind and fanatical forces clashing, for the mere sake of releasing built-up tensions.

So, one thing is certain: 2007 will be a revolutionary year – we will experience the breaking open of Uranus' powerful force, opening the veils, stirring collective consciousness, reshuffling the stakes, exposing new dimensions. Uranus after all is the leading planet in this chart, the one holding the biggest arc, dominating almost half the zodiac. This means, whenever a planet transits over this chart (i.e. the Moon), it will be carrying along Uranus' vibration for an extended time, until it lines up with Saturn in late Leo. (This by the way is also a most interesting way to look at your own birthchart.)

2007 is a 9-year (2+0+0+7), bringing the 9-year cycle which started in 1999 to completion. And the nine is a very Piscean number – whatever other number you add to the nine, it's the other number which prevails, the nine disappears completely (for example: 9 + 7 = 16….. the sum of 16 again being 7!) The nine therefore is a most mysterious energy, working from the background, without directly being seen, kind of subversive, invisible, immaterial, not of this world…

Maybe the most wonderful aspect of this solstice chart is the separating Moon/Venus conjunction in Capricorn, the Moon still being in its new moon phase - and, on top of that - also being Void-of-course (VOC) which totally emphasizes the right-brain, guiding by intuition rather then reason.

Looking at this solstice chart I'm reminded of Osho's birthchart (December 11,1931, 4:39 LMT, Kuchwada, India, 23N10, 79E57), radiating with almost the same Moon/Venus conjunction - his Venus at 12,09 Cp and the Moon at 15,01 Cp. Only days before this winter solstice Osho would have celebrated his 75th birthday. Osho left his physical body in January 1990. However, his energy is very much around still, and in my opinion he hasn't dissoved all of his seven bodies as he could have when he moved on to the other shore. Like Gautama Buddha 25 centuries ago, he still might be hanging on to his etheral bodies, thus still present in our dimension. His final dissolution into cosmic oneness - and who knows when this is going to happen - will definitely set off flashes of celestial fireworks. When this moment comes, tidal waves of ecstasy will be set free. His devotees, the "10'000 buddhas" as he called them in his late discourses, those who are deeply connected with him, those ready to take the jump, will be carried over the last remaining cliff, blown across the ultimate threshold. This event will generate such irrestistible currents of love and bliss that many more who never have heard his name will be set on fire, uplifted and carried away to the other shore. Planet Earth's frequency will jump to a much higher level. Each and everyone will be rising in consciousness. It will be impossible for denser and darker energies to keep governing.

Osho know the Golden Age was upon us, the age of enlightenment.

To fully understand the intrinsic power which Venus holds for the time being we should remember that we are between two Venus transits, the first of the two having occurred in June 2004, with the second coming up in June 2012 - Venus as seen from Earth directly traversing the Solar disk. Between these two close encounters, Venus, Sun and Earth will accomplish five full cycles, drawing a pentagram onto the zodiacal plane.

The first of these 5 cycles came to a close in February 2006. Getting back to direct motion at 16,01 Capricorn, Venus entered the second of the five rounds, which will be accomplished by September 8, 2007. This second one of five cycles, starting off in Capricorn speaks of social responsibility, of taking on and accomplishing tasks, rising up and taking charge. We are called to share our love, expose what we know and dare to go for what we care for. Capricorn is the royal sign, the sign of managing resources. Capricorn is the summit of the mountain, the crown of the tree, offering wide perspective and an understanding of correlations on all levels. Capricorn is cardinal earth, energy structured and crystallized. Quartz crystal and diamond are Capricorn's gemstones.

Now scroll back up and look at the solstice chart once more, with Venus at 13,47 Capricorn, almost at the same degree as in February 2006 when this present cycle began, and the Moon even more precisely resonating with this degree, at 15,47 Capricorn - indicating that within this year's round Venus' influence will be greatly enlarged.

Mutual receptions of Uranus-Neptune and Sun-Saturn

Aside from the long-lasting mutual reception of Uranus in Pisces and Neptune in Aquarius (2003-2011), last year's winter solstice, and now the one initiating 2007, show the Sun and Saturn in the relationship of mutual reception. Mutual receptions occur when two planets (or luminaries) are in each other's signs, generating an energetic loop - or arc - between the two planets and signs involved.

The effect of the Neptune/Uranus connection for sure offers some powerful manifestations. It feels as if there's no more that strong and definite border line between conscious and sub-/unconscious. Even just in the 3 years since the two gas giants came into this magical resonance, many things have been set straight, increasing numbers of individuals have begun seeing behind the veils of conditionings and lies. And then, Neptune 's status has risen dramatically, it's now definitely the outermost giant planet of our Solar system, this had been made clear in August 2006 in Prague at the Astronomical World Convention.

One magical feature of Neptune is its almost circular orbit. Every other planet or asteroid has two clearly defined orbital positions where it's closest or farthest from the Sun, however Neptune is very different! Moving almost along a circular path, it's actually not Neptune who decides when it is closest or furthest from the central star – it's rather the Sun with its baricentric movements. And whenever Neptune comes closest to the Sun, or reaches its maximum distance, there are three distinct moments of perihelion (closest) or aphelion (farthest) passage. It's very well worth the effort to try to understand this… it's so deliciously beautiful… and reveals so much about Neptune 's meaning!

Okay it goes like this: Not only do all planets orbit around the Sun, the Sun itself is rotating around the gravitational center of the entire Solar system, which is slightly different from the Sun's own center. It's foremost giant planet Jupiter that is causing the barycenter of the Solar system to wobble. All smaller planets adapt to this wobbling dance caused by Jupiter's heavy weight. Saturn and Uranus have quite eccentric orbits on their own, so it's hard to tell – however not so Neptune! Resting in an almost circular path, from Neptune 's perspective the wobble of the entire Solar system finally becomes visible, at least for the decades when Neptune is either closest to or furthest from the Sun! What from all other viewpoints (planets) feels like perfectly balanced, at rest and peace – the center of our star – suddenly is unmasked and exposed: from Neptune's circular path itbecomes obvious, Goliath planet Jupiter brings instability to theentire Solar system, imposing a 12-year rhythm of encircling the barycenter of the combined mass of the entire Solar system. So from Neptune's point of view Jupiter is standing out as the one who brings dynamism into the seemingly resting central star. And most likely causing the rhythm of the 12 Chinese Years, and probably also responsible for the sunspot cycle.

Neptune seemingly is more attuned to the Cosmic than the Solar. Not only is Neptune the outermost large planet, but also seems to be tremendously at rest, literally holding the sublime and eternally quiet universal center which blows the cover of what seemed being perfectly at ease, making the whole Solar system look like a wheel which is not properly balanced! How true this statement is as seen from an enlightened perspective! And to no surprise – Neptune is understood to be the planet of transcendence, making the bridge to the beyond, the keeper of mysteries, the mystic. Neptune in its highest expression is enlightenment, liberation from Samsara, that wobbling wheel of reincarnation which all too well finds its resemblance in the Sun-Jupiter tides. – (exact dates and times of Neptune 's perihelion and aphelion see below)

The other mutual reception of Sun and Saturn is also very revealing, most particularly so because aside from the Sun there's also Moon and Venus in the cardinal winter sign. In the Tarot – according to Aleister Crowley – Capricorn is represented by the Devil; showing the deepest and most profound place where matter merges with spirit. So Capricorn contains the danger that spirit may get enslaved and dominated by matter, but also holds the intrinsic potential for spirit finally to overcome its occultation and rise to triumph above its challenger. Having dived deeply, and finally understood all the sacred laws of matter, one merges with the very core, experiencing the heart of the Mandala, that innermost emptiness where fusion happens and everything is arising from.

In Capricorn we eventually grow into the inner stature from where we can accept – and love – the challenges life is supplying us with. Exposing ourselves to their unforeseeable dangers, and daring to look into the heart of the cyclone, we consequently probe into the recesses of darkness; and in due course we find our inner strength - through accepting - yet even inviting – temptation. The secret is, after immaculate preparation, to follow the call of the dragon and be guided by one's innermost light, infusing the vast expanses of gloom with the crystalline clarity of our consciousness, taming the chaotic powers by centering in our hearts, consumed by love, surrendered to a greater cause, infinite and eternal.

In Capricorn we finally dare to merge deeply with the powers of the material universe. Burned, purged and reborn we eventually rise above all forms of temptation; mastering, taming, and then consciously aligning with archaic forces. Only at this point we understand, these primordial forces have been brandished as dark and devilish because the dim light of our small consciousness made them appear so predominantly huge and frightening. And above all, because the attraction of their gross frequencies was so irresistibly strong, that without a silent inner center we were completely lost and immediately swallowed by their overwhelming presence, subject to powerful tides and thrown around by their fervently intense dynamics. With our centering in consciousness however these same forces finally are converted into powerful allies, ready to be at hand for any cause emerging from the light of love – love being the primordial force holding the universe together.

JANUARY 9, 2007

Comet Mc Naught - the great surprise!

To everyone's great surprise a new comet has emerged – comet McNaught. As mentioned on the spaceweather page ( http://spaceweather.com/ ) only within the last few days this comet has grown tremedously in brightness, now being almost as bright as planet Venus as you can read below.

Comets have always been looked at as harbingers of new eras, they're holding big cosmic surprise. This comet makes 2007 ever more special…

On January 12, 2007 , at 7:07 p.m. UT , comet McNaught passed through perihelion, its closest approach to the Sun. At that time, as seen from Earth the comet is at 17, 53 Sagittarius. The closest approach to the Sun is the most grandiose moment in a comet's life. This is even more special a moment when we consider that McNaught comes from way out there, from as far away as 11'000 times the distance Earth has from the Sun. Pluto for comparison, at its furthest distance from the Sun reaches out to 49 AU. If this comet had an earlier perihelion passage at all than it must have happened very very long ago, in the range of 100'000 to 1'000'000 years.

And only two days after perihelion passage, on January 14, the comet rises through the Sun/Earth plane, rushing through its ascending node, that place where its energy gets infused into the Sun/Earth environment. And what a surprise - Mc Naught's ascending node being at 27,25 Sagittarius, closly conjunct the Galactic Center (GC) at 26,57 Sagittarius. At this moment of Mc Naught's downloading its energy, Pluto is at 27,30 Sagittarius; closely joined by Mars at 28,08 Sagittarius.

If anything, this speaks of an immense power surge - an enmormous infusion - a momentum that will push off the lid, an empowerment at the very core, creating an opening in the definiton of our space/time continuum.

JULY 17,2007, 11:11 a.m. UT

FIRE THE GRID

Shelley Yates site: http://www.firethegrid.org/eng/home-fr-eng.htm

This is most important information, very uplifting indeed!

Shelley starts off with her near death experience, and what came out of this life changing event. She seemingly has been chosen being a messenger for some highly important information we need to know about at this point in time…

The date of July 17, 2007, is remarkable:

As seen from Earth, Pluto is conjunct the Galactic Center on that day - being the second of three contacts Pluto makes with the center of our galaxy. Pluto is very close to the GC for 2006 and 2007. However, on December 29, 2006 for the first time in 247 years Pluto was most exactly aligned with Milky Way’s core. On July 16, 2007, at 1:19 p.m. UT, Pluto moves backwards through that degree, and on October 28, 2007 Pluto will touch GC for the third time.

The Moon enters the sign of Virgo at 9:39 a.m., one and a half hours prior to the time given by Shelley, when “the grid will be fired”. In the webpage dedicated to the project http://www.firethegrid.org/eng/home-fr-eng.htm Shelley gives some more details on what ‘firing the grid’ means:

<This global project of loving intention is completely possible. Your intention to make it happen can change the outcome of this planet. I will discuss the details of the plan in phase three of this website. I will give you the directions to follow, and you will see how little it will take for you to become an ambassador of light to our home, planet Earth. I beseech you to join me when we fire the Earth grid on July 17, 2007 at 11:11 Greenwich Mean Time (GMT or UT), and add your energy to this project. I promise you, just one hour of your time and you can help heal this planet, and help create peace among all people.>

<Please join us to bring the power of God’s love to us all. In choosing to participate you will be defining your intentions to the universe and you will also be defined as a human who desires positive change for this planet.>

<It is possible to re-form a grid connection between us that will allow us to realign the energy of this planet and with each other. They have told me that on July 17, 2007 at 11:11 Greenwich Mean Time there will be a surge of creation energy which will make our reconnection possible. Please read about this in The Plan. There is hope for a miracle!>

Pretty much in the middle of the one hour period which Shelley’s guides promote us joining in meditation, at 11:40 a.m. GMT (or UT), the Moon exactly conjuncts Venus at 1° 04’ Virgo. According to Alice Bailey, the Moon in Virgo is in her higher octave sign – or in other words, the Moon is the esoteric (inner, hidden) ruler of Virgo. (More info at http://www.fortunecity.com/roswell/leadbeater/0/astrotools.htm#The_Ruling_Planets). When a planet is in its esoteric domicile, emphasis is shifted from the outer/physical to the inner/soulcentered. Moon in Virgo helps tremendously in understanding our own basic needs, makes us realize what we owe to ourselves, making us aware of what no one else except ourselves can give to us.

Venus will enter Virgo only hours after New Moon on July 14. Now and in the weeks ahead Venus is very close to planet Earth, traveling between Earth and Sun. This close passage will make her appear moving backwards between July 27 and September 8. So Venus approaching her station (forward motion coming to a halt) is advancing very slowly, and for that her impact is stronger. Also because of her closeness, her voice is louder than usual.

In rhythm with the announced frequency increase, this meditation will strongly nourish our emotional connection with abundance and perfection planet Earth is constantly providing for us. Our sense of beauty, harmony and well-being will surge up and move us to merge with our very core, giving us the experience that healing happens instantly and miraculously once we open ourselves to the frequency of divine perfection. Opening ourselves to this elation will literally sweep all dis-ease from our souls. All there is to allow for us is to open ourselves to the ecstatic dance of waves of love, rushing in, breaking in thousands of tiny droplets entrenched by sparkling rainbows, fertilizing our souls and refreshing our spirits.
The Galactic Center reverberates with our own innermost core – and planet Pluto is the archetype or ancestor of all the newly discovered orbit-crossing minor planets, bridging the separate spheres of the major planets, weaving them together into a grand network, revealing all sorts of previously invisible interdependencies and secret connections.

Shelley Yates' video presentation on U-Tube:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqUAluDvuU4&mode=related&search=

Shelley is absolutely amazing. In sharing her personal story she is so human, illustrating on how that accident has been the catalyst experience turning her life around. Much alike the July 17 "Fire the Grid" energetic boost will be the catalyst on planetary levels.

I mentioned it earlier - these present years we are cruising through a Solar minimum. This means the Sun is almost spotless for most of the time. The Solar energy we are nourished by is calm and serene, like a lake without ripples. This is a great time to lay foundations, to take the decisive steps if we are meant to take in order to move into a new direction. One could say that during Solar minimum our perception is more clear, much like a lake in the early moring hours holds absolute stillness, capturing reality almost without any distortion.

Shelley speaks of 2012 as a new birth. 2012 will also be the time of the next Solar maximum - full of turbulent dynamics, loaded with fast and breath-taking changes.

This is the time to plant the seeds, to firmly ground ourselves and get attuned to the rhythm of cosmic frequencies. July 17, 2007, 11:11 - 12:11 UT (4:11 - 5:11 PDT) is the magical hour when we can generate the momentum for Earth to be healed. The more individuals consciously join in, pooling their joy and celebration, the higher the wave we will be able tp build.

If you haven't done so, please let everyone on your address list know about Shelley Yates and the July 17, 2007 'Fire the Grid' event.
